"THE MUSICAL JOURNEY HAS BEGUN! AND THE MUSIC NOTES ALONG WITH THE CHILDREN WILL FILL OUR SCHOOL WITH JOY"
The importance of music in a child's education is significant. We know how music directly affects the emotional world of humans, especially when we speak for the malleable and sensitive emotional world of a child.
Music stimulates space and time consciousness, because it engages the brain in processing information related to space (intervals between tones) and time (beats-rhythms). This type of stimulation is advantageous over other activities, which are required in maths and logic.
In this music program at our school, children will come into contact with a multitude of musical cultures and each child will participate as a member of the group, socialize and gain independence through group singing, moving around and games.
Various musical instruments and objects will be used in the program to develop auditory skills, such as timbre recognition, memory and sequencing. The structure of speech and language and the meanings we can derive from it require the individual to hold auditory information in memory in the correct order over a period of time.
Musical activities, such as songs with a simple and easy rhythm or recalling instruments in the order they were heard, help develop auditory memory.
Finally, participation in musical activities, make children part of an environment in which they can express themselves freely, develop their creativity and feel comfortable.
The program uses elements of the Orff, Dalcroze, Kodaly systems, adapted every time for the age group of the children who attend them and for the needs of our times.
The classes are aimed at children from 2.5 to 6 years old, without the participation of an adult and will be held once a week with a duration of 45 minutes.
We are waiting for you!
